My Why
From an early age, I not only struggled and dealt with my own mental health and performance issues, but as I continued moving up levels of competition I noticed that the mental side of sports, performance, and competition were severely overlooked and reactive at the very least. I am dedicating my professional career to proactive mental performance work for athletes and performers to be the support to those I wish I had access to earlier in life. When we’re told we have to get bigger, stronger, or faster we see a strength coach. When we have to study for standardized tests or improve our grades in school, we see a tutor. I believe in today’s day and age, mental health and performance need to be thought about similarly.
Mental aspects of sports and performance are already becoming more prevalent now than they ever have and continue to be the one of the major concerns for athletes and performers as a “missing piece.” Sports and performance are incredible for preparing individuals for events and experiences later in life like navigating career paths, relationships, etc. Beginning with understanding your own mental performance and well-being will only serve you more later in life. There is already so much out of our control in this ever-evolving world. When we can better understand ourselves, we begin taking control of how we respond to the hardships life, sports, and performance will inevitably throw our way and position ourselves accordingly for perspective, resilience, and success. I am beyond proud and humbled to be in this position to facilitate this experience for you.
